INSPIRED by DOC MARTIN

A busy and thus active week brings to mind a diversity of topics:
Druidry: Who knew there was such a word? I did not know it and I lived for decades in a part of Atlanta where Druid Hills Road was a main drag; Druid Hills (as in Driving Miss Daisy) was the centerpiece of the county and I probably qualify as a crone though sex prevents my being a Druid (Why is that such a big deal in every religion?) Anyway how, it is now an officially recognized religion in the UK. After research, it seems to be nearest to the spiritual beliefs of Native Americans with one exception. Druidry lacks the belief in the Great Spirit, or in other words, a supreme being. Apparently no prob in the UK.
Have been planning and plotting a circumnavigation of the globe via the internet. After being quite productive in that pursuit I see Americans in Europe are cautioned to be on guard. If so, that doesn’t bode well for us in Africa, Asia and the sub-continents either. Now staying put seems a better idea.
The final boondoggle was a research (and they use the term loosely) article on Yahoo via Barbara Strauch of Women’s Day. How do Boomer do it? After being the most ageist generation ever (“don’t trust anyone over 40”) they have INSTANTLY come up with “research” that shows the peak years of intelligence are 48-60 at just the moment when they reach that age span. Amazing! And we wonder why the world is in such a mess since they took over?
Guess I’ve ticked off most of the known demographics so PBS’s Doc Martin (my hero) would be proud of this blog.
