Fortunately was invited to a Memorial Day cook-out… on the other side of Atlanta which is hazardous driving normally and on a holiday! Oh! And did I mention it was in a mansion. Quite impressive. I happily live in 950 square ft. these days but evidently have prosperous friends. My contribution was Macaroni and Cheese but the others provided gourmet. Nice!
Gave myself a shiny black eye at 4 AM on Wed. (don’t ask.)
The wall hanging I spent 16 years creating finally was hung Wed. on my newly painted wall. Not a perfect job but it’s hung and only two years after I completed it. Spent two days trying to get the window (18 feet off the nearest floor) near it cleaned. It’s better but not perfect though I’m exhausted from trying. Got to work on the stairs again. More Drano followed by 40% peroxide, thorough sweeping and scrubbing. Still need a bit of touching up with more stain and wood filler then will be ready to polyurethane. I’m sure my Pennsylvania Dutch Great to the 7th power Grandmother would be proud. Broke all that up with frequent soaks (of me) in hot tubs of bubbles. Which proves, I guess, that this “retirement” thing is not yet for me. But I do love decorating and my black eye is barely a thin red line.

Oh, the book. Always have time to check on it. Went up to 100,000ish on Amazon this week then broke through into upper 5 figures before falling back to 300,000ish. Strangely the first book, Savannah Spell, saw a 3 fold jump on Amazon. Don’t really understand book sales too well, obviously. ALL 3 BOOKS ARE CONTAINED IN THE NEW ONE, you know.
