Recession Fighter

I may single handedly slay the recession if the thickness of my credit card statement this month is any indication.
Needed a glass encased book case (dust allergy and too many old and new books) so shopped eBay, Amazon, various online furniture websites. Most had to be assembled including the under $100 one made in China at Wal-Mart. The rug hanging and painting have pretty much cured my do-it-yourself urges. Besides I haven’t had luck with the Chinese products so I shy away from them (or Bu nung jing chio… my phonetically spelled Mandarin). Shopped days locally. Roswell and area are known for their antique and second hand stores. On my umpteenth shop found a place called “Classy Clutter” with just the trick, small though sturdy enough with nics that can be “treated”. Challenge was getting the three sided glass with mirrored back out the store (full of fragile do-dads just waiting for me to knock them over), into my car and then to the first level of my condo. Managed that with minimal help. Will ask my son and grandson to move it upstairs when they come for weekly family dinner. Can then unstack the books off my unfinished paintings into the case and work on my paintings for the first time in a over a year.Recent book sales are disappointing but that’s OK. Didn’t really write it to make money… rather to merely finish what I started… and enjoyed.
